Hosted by Unity Fellowship Church. Presented by the Domestic Violence Center of Howard County (DVC), during this free program for adults we will explore how it can sometimes be difficult to recognize (and want!) real love. Unity Fellowship Church of Columbia is a LGBT open and affirming congregation committed to providing a safe space where all can worship. Join us for this interactive workshop devoted to the art of loving yourself. Here you?ll learn why self-love is an essential component to attracting and maintaining healthy relationships.?Hosted by the Domestic Violence Center of Howard County (DVC), the Discovery Workshop programs are designed for individuals who are not in crisis to explore issues related to personal growth and healthy relationships. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and across the nation, local communities will engage in various campaigns to alert the public about this social issue. Please join the Domestic Violence Center of Howard County as we shed light about the prevalence of domestic violence in the county and to honor those who have died because of it.

Hope Bowl FUNdraiser!
Join the Domestic Violence Center of Howard County (DVC) on Saturday, November 3, 2012 for the 6th annual Hope Bowl?fundraiser. The Hope Bowl will be held at the Brunswick Columbia Lanes, 7100 Carved Stone Lane, Columbia MD 21045, from 7:00 ? 9:00 p.m. In addition to bowling, the event will feature music, food, a 50/50 raffle, contests and great prizes throughout the night.
The Hope Bowl is designed to raise awareness about child abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence, while teams compete to raise money for DVC.?All proceeds from the event benefit the Center?s programs and services.
Prior to the Hope Bowl, teams of five raise pledge money with a $100 minimum per bowler. This family-fun event promises to be a great night for novice and seasoned bowlers alike! Many friends, organizations and businesses form teams and enjoy competing with one another. Team registration will be available soon!
